Dee woke me up at 6am this morning with some odd feelings in her chest. She wanted to go to an emergency room and get checked out, so we headed out for Stanford Medical Center and got there a bit before 7. They poked, prodded, and completely inspected her mulitple times, and they admitted her to the hospital for observation around 11am.

I finally headed out myself from the hospital at Noon, and now I've got a half-day to work with things breaking left and right, but I have to leave on time or a bit early to get some stuff to Dee this evening before visitor hours are over at 8.

I wouldn't come in to work if things weren't stable. When I left, they were just waiting to get her an echocardiogram and to let the lasix they already gave her do their job. I left her iPod there for music, and will take a book or two for her tonight.

The only bad thing right now is that her admission is "day-to-day," so we're not sure when she'll be out. Could be tomorrow, could be a few days.

I'll be keeping my hopes up that she feels better soon and comes home quick!

Well, you should remember that I know first hand about what Dee's going through. I'll keep both of you in my thoughts, and if you need anything at all, ya know where to find me *hugs of healing to you both*

We've been through similar things before, but it's still a drain when it happens. Thanks for your good thoughts. :-)

OH NO! Very sorry to hear about this. I'm glad that she got some medical attention before it got serious, and I hope the observation is painless and the resulting diagnosis is apt. Wishing you both the best!

*sends Dee a telepathic hug*

I was impressed by the response at the Stanford E.R. They responded very quickly - of course it was almost completely empty as well at 7am. The nurses were very nice and personable, even the one that was there when we arrived at 7 whose shift ended at 7:30!

I'll be sure to pass on everyone's well-wishes tonight!
