My car wouldn't start for me this morning. Everything pointed to a dead battery (lights would come on until I tried to crank the engine, at which time the entire console simply starts resetting), which has happened before. AAA came and jumped the car at 10:15, and I figured the ~10 minute drive to work should've improved matters. Yet the starting problem is just the same now that I've parked here.

There's a Sam's Club in walking distance, and I figured that I could just run down there and get a battery if this happened (which wasn't unexpected). Alas, though, the online Sam's Club product list doesn't show any car batteries. I'm hoping that they actually have them in-store, just not online.

And here I thought I wouldn't have any errands to run at lunch today...

Likely, its too late now, but you're right Sam's club should have batteries. we've gotten one there before when my car battery died in said sam's parkinglot.

A 10 minute drive might not be enough to charge the battery though. I noticed our truck was having some starting problems. I got it started leaving work one day, and drove to the gas station to get gas. Not thinking, I turned off the engine. It was about a 10 minute drive to the station (gotta get the cheap gas, you know), and it *wouldn't* start when I got done pumping it. Luckily the older gentleman at the next pump happened to be a mechanic and had jumper cables with him, it jumped right up. I was very relieved, drove it home and didn't turn it off. Even so, at that point it likely would have built up some charge, as it was about a half hour home.
But anyway, hope you got it fixed without too much trouble!
