And so, at the appointed hour of 6 o'clock (or close enough to it), the Saturn dealership called me to let me know my car was ready for pick-up. Of course, they close at 7pm... not a problem, it's only 30 minutes from work to there, right?

Heh. Traffic was bad today. Not as bad as it could have been, things were still moving around at 10 or 15 MPH. I made it to the dealership with about 15 minutes to spare. Of course, the rental car place closed at 6pm. Fortunately, I had asked about that this morning, and arrangements were in place that I could just leave the car at the dealership for Enterprise to take care of in the morning.

So my sunroof works again, and the car doesn't vibrate as much. Other than that, I don't know that I can really tell all the other things that were done to my car. But I did see the bill, and my "extended warranty" gamble has paid off, at least on my side of the equation. I think it was $600 or so, and it saved me something around $1,200 today... even if I still had to pay $170!

They had an e-mail printed out and attached to my e-mail. It was a reply from someone about the appointment scheduling mix-up. They went back and checked everything out and said, yup, we messed the appointment up, sorry. Obviously they want me to give them a "completely satisfied" rating on the customer evalution! Heh. Just gotta find the right moritivation and they jump into gear.

did they cover you rental or anything else due to the inconvenience they caused you? 'cos if they didnt I wouldnt give them an inch. "sorry" doesnt cut it when a group performing a service that I am paying for inconveniences me due to their incompetence. and I work in a service industry

Well, the rental was covered anyway under the extended warranty. (Yet another payoff on the warranty that I hadn't really thought about.)

Besides, I'm still not giving them a "completely satisfied" on the survey. After every service visit, you get the same survey, so I know exactly what the questions are. Another one is, "Do you feel that you can answer this survey honestly, without any pressure from the dealership?" or the like. Heh.

Besides... if I had kept the appointment on Tuesday, I would've gotten to Buffy Night at Suzy's later. LOL. ^_^
