|10:27 pm - For melonaise...|
I guess it's good that I live on the left coast now, so I can leave a brand spankin' new post for you and I'm not losing sleep to do it!
I spent far too much time drooling over the Comic Con San Diego programming schedule. Lordy geebus christ! On Saturday, Matt Groening, J. Michael Straczynski, and Kevin Smith will be doing panels. Multiple panels. Multiple cool panels. And I'm only like two hours (if that!) away from the holy lands!
Heh, I have a massive reason to go next weekend. ^_^ This just blows Anime Expo out of the waters for me... of course, I guess it's a lot easier to get all the rad guests when you have a much relaxed concept of what your con is!
Current Mood: awestruck
Whee, Michael Jantze of The Norm
will be there, too! I'm not sure he really compares to some of the other guests, but he's one of my favorite newspaper comics.

There are a ton of people who I don't recognize by name but I recognize by credits who are involved with the panels. A lot of Keenspot-affiliated artists are there for a Keenspot panel, too.
The total saturation of things out here in Hollyweird just amazes me at times. Like the pizza place last night with autographs of Jay Leno, LeAnne Rimes, and gobs of others on the wall. And I mean right on the wall, the walls are signed. Wow.
My West Virginia upbringing did not prepare me for all this :^)
we can outdo that...
Jay Leno oft tries out show material at a comedy open mic at a coffeehouse somewhere around here (I want to say Glendale, but I'm not sure...)
Want to go see him in person, less than 10 ft from you, being perfectly human and trying to work out his jokes?
Don't be dissin Anime Expo, yo. ;p Not likeyou've been in the game long enough to know who the cool guests are and who aren't. ;p
As far as Comic Con goes... it's been running longer than AX has. And yes... it's a blast to go to. Comics need as much support as possible. "^_^"
And Keving Smith is always there.
"Keving" HAHA... Yeah... I'm awake.
