So the Director didn't have anything earth-shattering to say. Basically, he wanted to tell us that we should be giving our resumés to a particular person (one of the founders of the company I'm working for; yes, the very same founders that the investors & board of directors forced out soon after I started). Also, that there's a chance that our group may be offered a special deal to keep working with the company after the move up north.

it would appear that Mr. CEO talked with Mr. Director today, and the CEO mentioned that the company needed our group to keep the timeline that's going to get the next financing round in. Basically, this may equate to working from home or from a very small office and have little or no travel to Northern California. We'll see.

Also, we found out in the weekly all-hands meeting that they've been talking with the owners of the building where our office is currently located, and they have received some assurances that they can extend the current lease month-to-month for at least two months past the end of March. They don't have enough stuff together to actually get moved out by March as is, so this isn't unexpected. But it is good to know that it's real, as if we couldn't extend the lease the company could've been S.O.L.: no office, but not ready to move.

And that about sums up my day at work...
