"Urgent" Care

Last night was rough on Dee. I don't think she got any sleep. She was congested, and it kept her up. Around 5 I woke up and she mentioned that she saw some blood in her mucus, so we needed to go to Urgent Care when they opened at 8.

Well just a little after 8 we were at the Urgent Care center. We were in the waiting room there until 10, and then we were taken back to an office were we waited again. Then they wanted an X-ray of Dee's chest to make sure it was only a sinus infection. We didn't get out of there until 12:30. Damn.

Around 12:10 someone from work left a message on my cell phone. I called in to work and let the Director know what was going on. He said to take the day if I needed it to take care of things. Well I didn't really but he kept saying I could take the day, so I figured it was just easier to be done with it.

It's just a bit after 2:30 now and I've got Dee set up with her meds, cleaned up a mess in the kitchen made by the cats, and a few other assorted tasks. This has taken a bit ol' bite out of my leave time. I guess it's better to have everything taken care of, but it's taken a nice chunk out of my leave. I had about 30 hours of leave that rolled over from last year. Not a problem, but then hopefully we've about got all the sickness done with for winter.
