Almost out the door...

But lisana and I have to get a final high-speed 'net fix in before we head to my parent's for Give and Get Gifts (aka Christmas) Day.

It's also called final digital preparations... making sure the digital camera cards have been archived, loading music for the trip, etc etc etc.

I haven't started loading the car yet, but that will happen soon enough. We're waiting a little bit so we'll hit Beckley, WV at lunchtime so we can do lunch at Tamarack. (The food court there is wonderful, if you ever happen to be in the area.)

Of course, Munchie (the cat) was not at all thrilled with our clothes packing behaviors. She would have stowed away in our suitcase had we not lured her out with food. Peanut is a bit mellower about it, but I think she realizes that we're getting ready to leave. She's just sitting here, watching me. I don't want to leave the kitties... *sigh* but they don't travel well, and I don't have enough beds for my parents and my sister (one bed short, unless someone sleeps on the couch). But we'll be back Thursday, if not sooner, unless some weather develops.

In a side note... for anyone (aka babyraver hehehe ^_^ ) who comments on my journal, I'm always bad about replying to comments. I often say nothing for fear of saything the wrong thing. So I'm going to try to break myself of that bad habit, but feel free to konk me over the head with something if I get too stupid, okay? I guess this also means putting comments into other journals, too.... so watch out world! *evil dictator laugh* *chuckle*

West Virginia

Okay, so we're home in WV. I'm already remembering why I go crazy during holidays with my family.

My sister graduated from college, and is moving back home in hopes of finding a job in the area. She was still setting her room up when we arrived home--my dad had already been driven up a tree! Well... he was up in a tree trying to mount her DirectTV dish so she can use her service (we've always had cable at my parent's home).

But my sister can't really make up her mind. It drives me crazy, I think, because I feel that she wants someone else to make the decision. We (lisana and I) got my sister a printer for Christmas. Then, she complained about not getting any graduation presents, so we decided to get her a little Palm Pilot for graduation. Today, I told her she could open whichever one she wanted, but she didn't want to decide. And it's just annoying!

Anyway, we're online now, so things are getting better :-).
