Early Mornings...

Ever since last weekend, I've been running close to empty on sleep. Yesterday's 3-hour marathon meeting in the afternoon wore me out (and stressed me out). Went to bed early last night, and woke up early this morning. Normally my alarm clock is set to go off at 7:30. This morning, I am up & dressed at 7:30. I'm not sure if this is good or pitiful, since I'm not going to go to work before 9am...

Still haven't received the "official" OK for my PTO next Friday. Hopefully that will get squared away soon. I guess it doesn't matter that much, since we're going to drive anyway -- it would just change it from a during-the-day drive to a late-night drive, like we did for the 4th of July. I hope the PTO works out.

Finally got my Speakeasy rebate. I wish places would get rid of the silly rebates and just collect the appropriate amount from you in the beginning. I picked up a wireless mouse for my desktop, and it has a $10 mail-in rebate. It's just annoying. First, you have to prep everything and mail it in. Then you have to wait. Then they send you a check for $10. Then you have to go deposit said check somewhere, or cash it. Then you have you money back. Stupid beancounters, using rebates so that people will just not bother with them. Bah. Beancounters: right up there with Marketing & Sales & Lawyers.
