I am really not impressed with our visitor at the moment. (For those who don't want to read back, the visitor is Lis's mom.) She wants us to do what we normally do. So we go to the grocery store, and she keeps asking if we want this, want that.. and we insist we'll grab what we need to get. And she continues suggesting things. We ended up with a bunch of things, and she insisted on paying for "her" stuff (~14 items) separately. So there was the rest of the stuff as well (~9 things). The express lane is "15 Items Or Less," and she starts dragging our cart towards it. Argh. I don't care that we had "two orders" there, we still had more than should be in the express lane.

Of course, when we got home, Lis pointed out that my mom continually bugs us about what we want when we go home to visit, and she has a point. But still... I don't know if I'm going to survive this visit. This also means that my web-site and probably chat-visiting activities will be held back a bit while she's here. Partly because I'll want to be out of the apartment as much as possible, partly because I want to avoid that tense situation, at least until the day before she's scheduled to go home.
