|11:21 am - Da Supa Bowl!|
Went out with A to a bar party in Livermore to watch the Super Bowl & then watch others sing karaoke! Well, the bar we were at does karaoke every Sunday night, and they don't let the Super Bowl get in the way - a few patrons where a bit annoyed by the karaoke set-up during the last 2 minutes of the game.
Had a great time just hanging out and chatting with some new folks, played a little ping-pong with A and pool with A and a friend of hers from high school that she ran into at the bar - and, no, it wasn't planned! Karaoke was over at 12:30 and we eventually pulled ourselves together and headed home. A drove me back to our place, even if we did have a little adventure getting home.
Mission Boulevard crosses 680 twice, a few miles apart. One of those crossings is the "recommended" way to go from 680 to 880. Let's just say that it's confusing at 2am and leave it at that! But we got home safe!
So I had a late night, and still got in to work by 9 this morning. My motivation to work is just a bit lacking, though. :^)
Current Mood: blah
I'm so glad you're having fun with your new friends!! Who were you routing for in the game?

I guess was rooting for the Patriots. ^_^ Well... not really rooting or anything, but I wanted the Eagles to lose. *giggles*
It was at a nice little local bar, and the bartenders poured their drinks strong! It was just a nice vibe in the place, and I want to go back sometime. The only thing that sucks is that it's 45 minutes away!
SakiConSushi has been introducing me to a lot of dives around the area. Hehe... Maybe I can take you to one next time you're down here. ^^ 45 minutes is far to go to a bar if you ask me! ^^; But strong drinks = goooood! *giggle*
And we were cheering on the Eagles at my pad. XP

I should say it's 45 minutes from my apartment to the bar. Most of the people there happen to live nearby to it, and we were going there because we knew the lady who was putting on the "Super Bowl Party" at the bar, which involved a lot of grilled meat! So it was definitely a special occasion thing, but a good enough place that I wouldn't mind going back.
It was kinda fun, though. They had a dance floor, and A and I started dancing to a karaoke song. A few other women started dancing too, but no guys. I was surrounded by 5 ladies at one point on the dance floor, just dancing away and trying not to hit them! *giggles* Though I did do hip-bumps with A and the hostess, who I met at last weekend's party. ^_^
My only problem with the Eagles is their quarterback. Donovan McNabb pulled out a last-second miracle against VT in 1998, and I'm not about to forgive him now. *giggles*

I knew that name (McNabb) sounded familiar... I just couldn't quite place him, but thought he was in college football back when you were in school.
Glad you had fun last night! :)
