08:57 am - One of Those Days? I updated my Quicken this morning with online information from my checking account. A $100-something check posted as a $700-something check. Called, waitied for assistance, and they looked at the check image (as I already had done) and, "Amount: One hundred and..." makes it pretty obvious.
The bank person said my 1 had a "hat" on it, which might have confused a system somewhere. I guess they aren't accustomed to processing engineering numbers. Oddly enough, it's never had a problem with it before... Current Mood: aggravated

But you wrote it out as one hundred, not seven hundred... right? That's the point of having the written part along with the number part I though. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/22539761/190315) | From: | jevim |

Yes, it was written out as "One hundred" very clearly. Obviously checks aren't watched as closely by the banks as I had thought! you are truly an honest man, Sam. I guess I'm glad this got "handled". But then again, an extra $600 could come in handy. But your honesty will pay off more in the long run. Many blessings...have a happy and safe 4th of July. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/22539761/190315) | From: | jevim |

I didn't know I could be called "honest" for telling the bank to give me back the $600 they shouldn't have taken from my account. :^)
And, by the way, it's quite a coincidence that you came back & left a comment on this -- the check was for the ambulance on 4/20. Funny how things work out! ^_^ |
