On Sunday, we did some household shopping, plus some wants shopping. We ended up driving to Sonic (a taste of Roanoke for us) for drinks, and we looked in Music Revolution for Emily the Strange wear.
Today we went to Disneyland, to ride the updated Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was an hour wait in line, but it was also the reason we were as the park today. We also rode the Winnie the Pooh ride (which had a "2 minute" line) and Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters (with about a 20 minute wait). The park was BUSY.
After that, we went to The Block at Orange for lunch at TGI Friday's (another Taste of Roanoke). We browsed through the Virgin Megastore, and I picked up a mash-up CD and Dee got an LP of Gwen's L.A.M.B., which she wants to turn into wall art. And then we drove through Krispy Kreme (a Roanoke Trifecta!) for donuts.
In some ways... I feel very lucky that I live somewhere that I can GET so many of these things that "remind me of home." Which, I guess, helped make me feel at home out here. But, in that regard - So Cal is better. Silicon Vally is WAAAAY to far away from Chick-fil-A!
